Hailing from the Bronx, New York, SoFyre is an emerging R&B and Hip-Hop artist whose bold, infectious sound blends soulful storytelling, raw emotion, and melodic energy into an unforgettable musical experience. Raised in the heart of the Boogie Down Bronx, the culture, style, passion, and vibrant energy of the borough heavily shaped both her individuality and artistic identity.

Music has been embedded in SoFyre's life since childhood. She began singing and creating music at just seven years old, with one of her earliest memories being a fifth-grade talent show performance that felt both surreal and destined. Her natural talent was first recognized by her mother, who noticed not only her ability to sing, but also her deep love and connection to music from an early age.

As her passion grew, SoFyre pursued formal training through vocal and piano lessons, eventually attending the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts as a vocal major. During her time there, she participated in gospel choir and New Music Singers, a songwriting-focused program that further sharpened her creative voice. Her current vocal development continues under the guidance of vocal coach Jamelle of Vocalz by Jamelle.

Inspired by legendary artists such as Celine Dion, Toni Braxton, Brandy, and the iconic R&B group Total, SoFyre developed a sound rooted in emotion, storytelling, and authenticity. One of the first songs she ever learned to sing and perform was "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion — a record that helped shape her love for vocal performance. Another life-changing musical moment came when she received a copy of Never Say Never during high school, an album she credits as having a profound impact on her artistry.

The name "SoFyre" organically evolved from her real name, Sophia, after listeners repeatedly described her music as "fire." The phrase "so fire" became synonymous with her sound and energy, eventually transforming into the artist name that now represents her identity.

Although music has always felt like her purpose, SoFyre admits there were years where she attempted to ignore the calling. Songwriting ultimately became her outlet — a way to process emotions, experiences, and life itself. After years of collaborating with and uplifting other creatives, SoFyre found her way back to fully investing in herself and her own artistry toward the end of 2024. In 2025, she officially released her debut single, "I Can't Stanggas," marking the beginning of a new era as an independent artist.

Currently, SoFyre is preparing for the release of her highly anticipated EP, I.O.U., scheduled to debut on July 19, 2026. Created alongside songwriter Marcus "Thera-P" Lowery and Melvin "Trouble" Wigfall, the project serves as both a personal and universal statement about self-worth, risk-taking, and honoring one's dreams — repaying a long-overdue debt to herself.

Known for her raspy vocals, fearless energy, and emotionally charged records, SoFyre distinguishes herself through music that is bold, fun, melodic, and deeply relatable.
